MATTHEW 8-9

Life is a journey, and it is often twisted and bound up in much heartache, pain and suffering. We are born into sin (nature and experience) and face difficulties.

But. JESUS.

Sometimes the difficulties and sin manifest sickness that overwhelms our minds, our bodies and even our character.

But. JESUS.

It was no different during the days in which He walked in the dirt and traveled the dusty path of life. We have these Truths in the pages of the New Testament Gospels, written to teach us about Him and about His redemption.

This. JESUS. The One and Only. Full of Grace and Truth.

Matthew 8 and 9 is an ALETHEIA, a Bible Memory Spoken Word, that travels the path of Jesus immediately after He gave the disciples (and the crowds) a long and worthy Sermon On The Mountain. It is a visible storytelling format of 10 miraculous encounters with the One who is Divinely Human and the One who Divinely loves humans.

I have been blessed to share these Divine encounters countless times, line upon line and miracle after miracle---at the table and over the beds of invalids, elderly men and women, the dying. And Jesus has met each one with masterful and manifest hope. He is Healer.

I can still hear one very old man in his throaty baritone voice, "Holiday, tell me the stories of Jesus."---And by the grace of God, again and again, I did. He is with Christ now, in glory, healed, and I have treasured in my home the stool he fashioned and built and upon which I often sat when telling him those God-stories.

"Shepherd me, O God, beyond my wants,

Beyond my fears, from death into life..."
